Kohlby Jo Sayler and Shaylyn Sayler attended Dance America competition and Dance Olympus workshop on March 17th & 18th in Coeur D' Alene, Idaho.  They did a great job representing High Impact Dance Academy. 

Kohlby Jo scored 1st place scores on both her numbers, "Hip Hop Kid" and "Axel F" and placed 1st on both.  She was a Dancer of the Year finalist where she can compete at Nationals in Las Vegas for Dancer of The Year.  "Hip Hop Kid" also placed high score primary division and received the National Directors award for Primary/Junior Division.  She also received the Most Promising Dancer. 

Shaylyn scored 1st place scores on both her solos, "Emotional" and "Hit Me With A Hot Note".  Both numbers qualified for nationals as well as Dancer of The Year Finalist.

Shaylyn has been invited to tour with Dance Olympus as a VIP tour member for July 2007 in which she would tour to 5 major cities in the United States...Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Omaha, Boston and New York City, taking classes form our countries best choreographers.  She would also get to assist them in their convention classes and perform in the faculty show at each city.  She also gets to enjoy a major attraction at each city like The Mall of America and a Broadway show.  Mario Velez Jr. a teacher/choreographer on staff told her that she must do this as she is a VERY good dancer and he wants to mentor her!

Mario has also invited Kohlby Jo to come guest perform in one of his professional shows in Los Angeles to dance amongst dancers that have performed with Brittany Spears, Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson etc.  How exciting is that...  We'll let you know when that will take place.
