| Congratulations Erin, Spencer and McKenzie!!!! |
Erin was the first place winner for the Junior level at the Grays Harbor Fair 2008 talent show for her tap solo and Spencer was the first place winner in the Teen level for his hip hop solo. McKenzie won the Riverfest Talent Show in Hoquiam doing her clogging solo. High Impact Dance could not be any prouder of you!!!

| Good job and Congrats to High Impact Dancers... |
Saturday, April 20th seven dancers from High Impact Dance auditioned for the WNBA Seattle Storm Dance Troupe. They were Emily McNerney, Jessy Finlayson, Jenna Prater, Erin Kuhn, Nikki Derousseau, Kohlby Jo Sayler, and Shaylyn Sayler.
Erin Kuhn, Nikki Derousseau, Kohlby Jo Sayler, and Shaylyn Sayler made it to the second round of tryouts and Nikki Derousseau, Kohlby Jo Sayler, and Shaylyn Sayler made the team. They will be performing at all Seattle Storm home games at the Key Arena.
They all did a spectacular job!

| Congratulations to Spencer and good job to all! |
Two seniors at Aberdeen High School put on a talent show for their senior project on Saturday, February 9th and Spencer took first place for his hip hop number choreographed by Shaylyn.
All of our dancers from High Impact Dance that performed did an awesome job and represented High Impact very well. We even got to see Erin play the piano and Jessy sing. Great job for showing other talents too.

| Monsters of Hip Hop November 2007 |
We had sooooo much fun at Monsters of Hip Hop in Portland, Oregon November 9th and 10th, 2007. We had two scholarship winners: Nikki Derousseau and Spencer Brooks. Congrats! The hip hop the kids learned was incredible.

| Wow- Hollywood Dance Experience 10/13th &14th! |
What a way to start our dance year...We had 19 students attend Hollywood Dance Experience October 13th & 14th at the Sea-Tac Marriott. They took class from nationally known choreographers: Kristy Kane Mapes, Jason Myhre, Brooke Paulson, Nick Long and Michael McBain. Our dancers had a wonderful time and learned sooooo much at this convention. All the dancers participated in auditions for scholarships and we had many finalists: Beginner room- Avanel Young, Dakota Roos, & Taylor Stiffler Intermediate room- Kohlby Jo Sayler, Ariana Barre' & Erin Kuhn Advanced room- Danica Roos, Stella Lehnert, Nikki Derousseau, Shaylyn Sayler & Spencer Brooks Those students were all in the final cut for a scholarship. They pick a Tap, Jazz, and Ballet scholarship winner who then gets to come back the next year for free, then they have an Intermedaiate and Advanced Dancer of The Weekend whom gets to go to all of Hollywood Dance Experiences cities in a 12 month span free. We had three receive scholarships: Advanced Tap- Nikki Derousseau Advanced Jazz- Shaylyn Sayler and Intermediate Dancer of The Weekend- Kohlby Jo Sayler The scholarships state, "You have shown great talent and potential this weekend! You stood out and went above and beyond". The Dancer of The Weekend states, " Your talent, diligence, and commitment throughout this weekend have enabled you to stand out and has captured the attention of the HDE faculty". Kohlby Jo also received a $100 cash award which is supposed to go to "the excellent studio that has trained you and brought you to Hollywood Dance Experience" but instead of the money going to High Impact Dance, Kohlby Jo will have Hollywood Dance Experience donate it to fellow dancer, Ronni whom is very sick and in Children's Hospital.

| High Impact Dance has a National Dance Champion! |
| July 2, 2007 Kohlby Jo Sayler, age 9 received 1st Place National Primary Hip Hop Champion amongst kids her age from all over the United States and Mexico at Dance America National Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada. She also was a finalist in the Dancer of The Year title. She performed her hip hop solo, "Hip Hop Kid" and also was nominated for the Most Emotional presentation placing in the top 5 out of 100's of routines. She then performed in a big production number, "A Little Bit of Country" with 42 other kids entertaining a standing room only crowd and receiving standing ovations at two performances of the routine. Way to go, Kohlby Jo! High Impact is PROUD of you! |

| Dupree Dance Expo 2007...High Impact does AWESOME! |
53 of our students attended Dupree Dance Expo on January 6 & 8, 2007. Dupree Dance Expo is a professional dance workshop and competition. Our dancers took many hours of classes from well known choreographers: Mark Schell, Jesse J., Kari Anderson, and KristyAnne Anthon. | Seattle Storm Dance Troupe |
| Shaylyn has made the Seattle Storm Dance Troupe... Only 6 girls are on the team and she is so excited to be one of them. They dance for the Seattle Storm home and playoff games and entertain the fans. Their first appearance is this Sunday from 10:00am-noon at Greenlake Park and the first home game is Sunday, May 21st. The Storm Dance Troupe will be hosting a dance clinic coming up and we will be sure to let you know when it is. |
