DANCER OF THE MONTH: February-Erin

Erin is located on the left side of the picture with her friends Kohlby Jo and Ariana at the Rainforest Cafe.

Erin was nominated by one of our dance families for her outstanding dance abilities and her outstanding personality.  She is 8 years old (almost 9) and is in the 3rd grade at McDermoth Elementary.  Erin has two very loving parents and a brother Evan.  Erin has 2 pets: 2 Beagle dogs named Anieka and Bailey.   Erin started dancing at age 3 and is still dancing.  Erin started with Teri Daneker and now is with High Impact Dance Academy.   She is a member of High Impact Stars Dance Team and attended Monsters of Hip Hop this year as well as competed at Dupree Dance Expo this year in tap, clogging and hip hop.   She does tap, jazz, ballet, clogging and hip hop.   Erin also does soccer, basketball, fastpitch, piano (very well) and is in the Reach program with Aberdeen School District (an accelerated academic program).  She wants to start playing the flute next year.  Wow, she is very busy!   One thing most people do not know about Erin is:  she is wanting to be an art teacher when she grows up.   We hope Erin continues for years to come here at High Impact too!

This is the email received nominating Erin:

We would like to nominate Erin Kuhn for Dancer of the month.  Erin is not only an outstanding dancer, but she is an outstanding person.  She takes multiple classes with High Impact and excels in all of them.  She was in 5 numbers in the holiday show and knew every dance really well.  What makes Erin special to us is that she is a strong role model for younger dancers.  She is always very nice and kind to younger kids and it makes kids really respect her and her dancing.  This is one of the reasons I respect Erin as a dancer and a leader in dance.  I hope she keeps it up!  Erin always gets good grades, she's a strong leader at her school, and she's willing to try new things.  I have enjoyed watching Erin this year, and we can't wait to watch her in her many numbers in the spring recital!  Go Erin!
Nominated by,
Jolene and Kacie Powell
