Emily is located on the left side of the picture during her hip hop dance at recital 2006.

Emily was nominated by one of our dance families for her excellent composure and maturity.  She is 12 years old (almost 13) and is in the 7th grade at Alderwood Jr. High.  Emily has two very loving parents, Greg and Susan.  Emily has 1 pet: A cat named Sid.   Emily started dancing at age 8 and continues to grow in dance each year.  Emily started with Act One Dance which is now High Impact Dance Academy and she is in the Lynnwood studio.   She is a member of High Impact Stars Dance Team and attended as well as competed at Dupree Dance Expo this year.  She did a solo character jazz dance for the first time this year.   She does tap, jazz, ballet, song and dance, and hip hop.   Emily also enjoys sports such as basketball.  She also enjoys singing, acting, emailing, and taking cruises with her family on Princess Cruise Lines.  One thing most people do not know about Emily is:  She has a dance club at her school.    We hope Emily continues for years to come here at High Impact!      

Emily was nominated on the spot at our Whirligig performance by Mrs. Brajcich who felt that Emily deserved it after showing her maturity during our show where she was doing her solo and fell from the slippery stage and got right back up to continue only to have her very new costume malfunction on her too.  We nicely got her off stage and when I (Dayna) walked into the dressing room I could have found a very distraught Emily instead I found an Emily ready to get her costume fixed quick and back out on the stage to do her solo.  WOW!  What a trooper!
