McKenzie was nominated by one of her peers for being a fabulous dancer and friend. She is 9 years old and is in the 4th grade at Cosmopolis Elementary School. McKenzie has two very loving parents and a brother, Spencer. McKenzie has pets: 1 dog named Cocoa. McKenzie started dancing at age 3 and is still dancing. Starting with Teri Daneker and then dancing with a few other studios and now is with High Impact Dance Academy. In our 2007 recital Disney Dazzle, McKenzie received a specialty part and played Minnie. She is a member of High Impact Stars Dance Team and is doing a lyrical solo this year to, "Reflections"! She has attended Dupree Dance Expo and Monsters of Hip Hop to expand on her dance education. She takes tap, jazz, ballet, song & dance, clogging, cheer/tumbling and hip hop. McKenzie also plays soccer. McKenzie's other interests are: Singing, Acting and playing the clarinet. One thing most people do not know about McKenzie is: She gets staright A's, or straight 4's to be exact, which is the elementary scoring system for straight A's.

Hi Dayna,
I would like to make a nomination for Dancer of the Month--McKenzie Brooks.  McKenzie is a fabulous dancer and a fabulous friend too. She and her brother, Spencer, did an outstanding job in the Mickey and Minnie duo. McKenzie is in many of my classes and she always does her best, is nice to the other dancers, and is always ready to dance in her cute and pretty dance clothes.
My mom just saw in the Vidette newspaper this week that McKenzie was awarded First Place in the Grays Harbor Fair in the clogging dance of "5, 6, 7, 8". I think she won some big bucks for that. Attagirl McKenzie!! We are proud of you! Big hugs to you, McKenzie!!!
